About Monster Timing

Experience on both sides of the finish line.

Monster Timing was founded by Francis and Graham Yates. Between us, we bring experience in event organising and triathlon officiating to the timing side of race day.

Francis has been involved in triathlon as an athlete since 2016 and has spent years organising events with Galway Triathlon Club, including serving as club chairperson from 2020 to 2024. Graham is a qualified World and European Triathlon technical official. We know how much work goes into getting athletes to a start line, and how important accurate results are once they finish.

Our aim is straightforward: give organisers timing they can rely on and give athletes results when they want them. That means a finish time on screen as an athlete comes through, live results for people following the race, a printed result to take away, and accurate standings so podium presentations can happen promptly.

We also believe dependable timing should be available at a fair, sensible price. When we were organising events ourselves, we saw how expensive timing could become. Monster Timing was built to give organisers a professional service without making timing an unreasonable part of the event budget.

We provide chip timing for running, triathlon, HYROX-style events, and other races. Depending on the event, we can also provide registration, live tracking, results screens, and on-site connectivity. We work with organisers to choose what their event needs, then deliver it on race day.

We care about the details because we have seen how much they matter to athletes, organisers, and everyone waiting at the finish line.
