By registering for an event or using this website, you agree to these terms.

2. What we do

Monster Timing provides online event registration, payment processing, and race timing services. Events listed on this website are organised and run by independent event organisers, clubs, and race directors (“Event Organisers”), unless an event page states otherwise.

When you register for an event, your contract to take part in that event is with the Event Organiser. Monster Timing acts as a registration and payment service on the Event Organiser’s behalf.

3. Registering for an event

You do not need an account to register. Each registration is completed as a single transaction.

When you register, you must give accurate and complete information, including your name, date of birth, gender, email address, emergency contact, and any details the Event Organiser requires.

Your entry is confirmed only when your payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, check your spam folder and then contact us.

Event Organisers set their own entry criteria, such as minimum age, licence requirements, qualifying times, and entry limits. An Event Organiser may refuse or cancel an entry that does not meet its criteria.

4. Registering on behalf of others

If you register another person, you confirm that you have their permission and that the information you give is accurate. If you register a person under 18, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and you accept these terms on their behalf.

5. Payments and fees

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Monster Timing does not store your full card details.

All prices are in euro and include VAT where applicable. The price shown at checkout includes the entry fee set by the Event Organiser and any booking fee charged by Monster Timing.

6. Refunds, transfers, and cancellations

Refunds, transfers, and deferrals are decided by the Event Organiser under its own policy. Monster Timing booking fees are non-refundable unless the Event Organiser agrees to cover them or the law requires otherwise.

Event registrations are bookings for leisure services on a specific date. The 14-day cancellation period under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 does not apply.

7. Taking part in an event

By registering, you confirm that you are medically fit to take part and that you will follow the Event Organiser’s rules, safety instructions, and any waiver or declaration it requires. Any waiver you sign is an agreement between you and the Event Organiser.

Unless an event page states otherwise, Monster Timing does not run events and is not responsible for event routes, safety, marshalling, medical cover, or the conduct of other participants. Where Monster Timing is the Event Organiser, the responsibilities stated on that event page apply.

8. Timing chips and equipment

Timing chips and other equipment supplied by Monster Timing remain our property unless the event page states that chips are disposable.

You must return reusable chips at the finish or at the point stated by the Event Organiser. If you do not return a reusable chip within 7 days of the event, we may charge a replacement fee of €59 to the payment method used at registration or ask you to pay it before your next entry.

9. Results

Monster Timing publishes event results on this website and may share them with the Event Organiser and the relevant governing body. Published results may include your name, gender, age category, club, bib number, split times, and finish time.

If you want your results shown without your name, email us at [email protected] before the event or at any time after it. Some governing bodies require named results for rankings or records, and we will tell you if this applies.

We take care to record accurate times, but errors can happen. To request a correction, email us within 7 days of the results being published. Include your name, bib number, and the details of the error. The Event Organiser makes final decisions on placings, awards, penalties, and disqualifications.

10. Photos and video

Event Organisers, their photographers, or Monster Timing may take photos and video at events. Monster Timing may use suitable event photography or video in connection with event results, event coverage, case studies, website content, and Monster Timing’s social media or marketing channels.

Where you are identifiable, we will handle this material in accordance with applicable data protection law. If you do not want Monster Timing to use an identifiable image or video of you for promotional purposes, email [email protected] before the event where possible, or contact us after the event with details of the image or video. We will consider reasonable removal or non-use requests, subject to legal, archival, editorial, and operational limitations.

If you are registering a person under 18, please follow the Event Organiser’s instructions about photography and obtain any permission required from their parent or legal guardian.

11. Use of this website

You may use this website to view events, register, and view results. You must not:

• copy, scrape, or republish results or other content in bulk without our written permission;
• try to interfere with the website, its security, or its payment systems; or
• enter false information or register using someone else’s payment details without permission.

12. Intellectual property

Monster Timing® is a registered trademark of Cookie Monster Event Management Limited. The Monster Timing name, logo, website design, software, and content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Event names and logos belong to their respective Event Organisers.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use the Monster Timing® name or logo, or any other protected content from this website, without our prior written permission.

13. Our liability

Monster Timing is responsible for providing the registration, payment, and timing services we offer with reasonable care and skill.

We are not liable for:

• the organisation, running, cancellation, or changes to any event;
• injury, loss, or damage at an event, except where caused by our own negligence;
• indirect or consequential losses, such as travel or accommodation costs; or
• delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including website outages from third-party providers.

Our total liability to you for any registration is limited to the amount you paid for that registration.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Irish law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force on the date of your registration applies to that registration.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country.
