Who this policy applies to

Monster Timing provides an online registration and payment platform for events run by independent event organisers, clubs, and race directors ("Event Organisers"). Monster Timing does not organise, promote, or run these events unless stated otherwise on the event page.

When you register for an event through our platform, your contract for participation is with the Event Organiser, not with Monster Timing.

Refunds are set by the Event Organiser

Each Event Organiser sets its own refund, transfer, and deferral policy. Monster Timing does not decide whether you receive a refund. All refund requests are handled at the sole discretion of the Event Organiser, in line with its published terms.

Before you register, read the Event Organiser's policy on the event page or contact them directly.

How to request a refund

Contact the Event Organiser using the details on the event page. If you cannot reach them, email us at [email protected] and we will pass your request on. Passing on a request does not mean Monster Timing approves or guarantees a refund.

Booking and processing fees

Booking fees, platform fees, and payment processing fees charged by Monster Timing are non-refundable, unless the Event Organiser agrees to cover them or the law requires otherwise.

Event cancellation or changes

If an event is cancelled, postponed, shortened, or changed, the Event Organiser decides what refund, credit, or transfer applies. This includes changes due to weather, safety concerns, permits, or other events outside anyone's control. Monster Timing will process any refund the Event Organiser approves.

Processing approved refunds

Where an Event Organiser approves a refund, Monster Timing will process it to the original payment method within 10 working days of receiving the organiser's instruction. Your bank or card provider may take a further 5 to 10 working days to show the credit.

Transfers and deferrals

Some events allow you to transfer your entry to another person or defer to a future event. These options depend entirely on the Event Organiser's policy and may carry a fee.

Right to cancel

Event registrations are for leisure services on a specific date. Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2022, the standard 14-day cancellation period does not apply to these bookings.

Chargebacks

If you raise a chargeback with your bank before contacting the Event Organiser, your entry may be cancelled while the dispute is reviewed. Please contact the organiser first.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under Irish or EU consumer law.
